About
The internet is messy—and it’s getting messier by the day.
Between AI slop, rising disinformation, and the era of oligarchical social media, we are all just trying to find the signal in the noise. Weekly{ish} is my attempt to map that noise.
Why "{ish}"?
The name reflects two things. First, the schedule: I will write when there is something I think is worthwhile for you to read, not just because it's a Tuesday. Second, there's no single "niche" here. The world is tech{ish}, media{ish}, culture{ish}, and news{ish}. If it’s happening online and it matters, we’re talking about it.
What to expect
I don't know everything, and I am the first to admit that. However, I am passionate about the things I love and deeply skeptical of the things I loathe. When you open an edition of Weekly{ish}, you will find:
- The Long Take: A deep-dive essay on a topic that’s been rattling around my brain. It could be a critique of a piece of media, a response to something I’ve read, a look at the media business, or a theory on digital culture.
- The Curation: The internet, by and large, is about sharing. I’ll share the articles, podcasts, and videos I stumbled upon that are actually worth your time. No fluff, no "clip farming."
- My Perspective: I am not a news organization. I am not here to provide a "both sides" breakdown. I am giving you my side, why I feel the way I do, and the receipts and sources so you can dive in yourself.
Who is this for?
If you find yourself at the intersection of internet business and culture, if you think about how policy affects our digital life, or if you just want to find cool things online without the help of an algorithm, you're in the right place.
